Some years ago I said to someone special that “rarely is something a good idea in the future”. I said this without thinking. Years later I finally get that the irony in that statement is I should have realized that what would not be good idea in the future is me saying that. It was a dumb way to mask my insecurities. The moral of the story: it takes less time to think about something you are going to say than it takes to undue all the stupidity that you can create by being a jerk. And so I apologize to anyone I’ve been a jerk to — I’m working on it… – JCT
