Meeting People….

Either the dumbest, or smartest, thing I’ve ever said:  “The worst part of meeting  (new) people is meeting them”.  The truth in this is that unfortunately most of the time we only get one chance for people to like us, or for us to like them, during that first meeting.  There’s a whole world to people that we don’t see during a first meeting, and many times we don’t let ourselves get to know someone, based on that first meeting.  Once we get past that first meeting, well, the worst part is over …....

Commitments…

Today I made an interesting discovery about myself while talking with my dad.  I finally realized that as important of a value as commitments are in my life, there is one time when I make a commitment that I am going to work at not following through on:  Whenever I commit myself to being a jerk, I’m going to give myself permission to not follow through on such a useless thing.
